Posted on 13 Aug 2015

INKY

INKY is a small painting bot capable of throwing ink / watery liquids. It’s controlled manually, with a joystick, with gcode generated from Inkscape, or programmatically with generative algorithms, etc.

André Sier, its maker, works as artist-programmer at his studio creating interactive audio-visual experiences and generative objects.

He works and exhibits at national and international levels in galleries, museums and festivals since 1997 with code, 3D, video, sound, electronics, drawings, sculpture, installation and videogames, and received awards at Jovens Criadores (2006), at Bienal de Cerveira (2009) and at last year’s MakerFaire (2014).

He teaches creative programming since 2002 and is currently teaching digital arts at Évora University.
