At the faire: The BuildersBot CNC

Posted on 09 Sep 2014

Aldric Negrier lives in Faro and is driven by original ideas and innovation, he likes to build multidisciplinary projects from scratch, work on their designs, mechanics, electronics and software. He tells us:

“Enough with the 3D printers! some jaded friends tell me. They’ll be happy to know that I will no longer discuss 3D printers. Instead, I’ll tell them about 3D printer-CNC router hybrids! Like The BuildersBot CNC.”

The BuildersBot it is a open design project that Fuses 3D Printing & CNC Milling Into One Builder’s Dream, it can be used as either a CNC Router or 3D printer and is powered by an Arduino has been featured around the web.

During the Maker Faire Lisbon he will be bringing the machine for public demonstration (CNC and 3D printing functionality), along with with other open source 3D printers.

We think this project is quite a feat. Aldric has a number of other impressive projects documented at Instructables you should look at.
