At the faire: First LEGO League

Posted on 21 Aug 2014

First LEGO League (FLL) is an amazing program for 9 to 16 years old, which is designed to get children excited about science and technology and teach them valuable employment and life skills.

The FLL Core Values are the fundamental elements that distinguish FLL from other programs of its kind. Participants learn that friendly competition and mutual gain are not separate goals, and that helping one another is the foundation of teamwork.

FLL wants teams to explore an actual problem that today’s scientists and engineers are trying to solve, develop an innovative solution to that problem, and share their findings. Then teams create, build and program an autonomous robot using LEGO Mindstorms technology to score points in 2.5-minute matches on a themed playing field. FLL’s spot we will will also feature hands-on robotics activities (using Mindstorm kits) for people of all ages, so that they can learn how to build and program robots, in a very relaxed environment.

You can do really amazing things with electronics, programming, mechanics and LEGO, so we thrilled to announce FLL Portugal will join us.
